Microsoft is GGOOODDDD at making the right pictures. Their websites look slicks as hell, their products …  aahhh …. but this next commercial makes me wonder and think of all the possibilities which are available in the (near) future.

The best thing about this vid is the possibility of exchanging information through thin air on different carriers. What do you think is the most catching part?

Hey guys,

Here are my result at Naarderbos of yesterdays match against Lyon (and the course). We played in between nasty rainfall and the weather was really perfect. Even the greens were in good conditions. Althought we had to watch for some deep splashes of water.

1. I needed to warm up. Tee off was straight forward, but the second ended up in between the trees. I needed the third and fourth shot to get on the green and ended up wit 2 puts (6)
2. Tee off was bit on the leftside of the course, in the rough. The second was over the water, 10 centimeters next to the green. Chip was ggoooddd (3)
3. Short par 3 lane. First shot was ok. Chip was too short and needed 2 puts (4)
4. Lane with draw. First shot was ok, a bit on the right hand side of the course. Second shot was not good. Third shot landed on the apron. Chip against the pole and 2 puts (6)
5. Tee off was good, as well as the second shot. Third shot ended on the lefthand side of the green. Chip and put (5)
6. Uphill par 3. First shot 20 centimeters off green. Put too long and needed 2 extra (4)
7. Tee off from hill downwards. Second and third shot ok and landed on the apron. Needed a chip (against pole) and 2 puts (6)
8. Tee off was good, second shot even better. Second shot landed on the apron. Chip and two puts (5)
9. Tee off was straight, second landed on the apron. Chip and two puts (5)

I scored 21 stableford points and improved my handicap with 1,2 points to 19,0. Best result of this season so far.

Here are my result at the Dorhout Mees match for the Pin High Surprise Tour. Maybe you can learn from my mistakes. First I walked the blue course, and the white. The numbers displayed in bold are course pars. The numbers displayed in italic are personal handicap pars.

Blue

1. Tee off was a bit long. Second shot went into the water, followed by shot over the green. Chip and 2 puts (7)
2. Tee off a bit on the right. Second shot with rescue on apron. Chip and 2 puts (5)
3. Tee off with rescue. Too long over green into rough. Shot out of the grass went about 10 cm. I decided to drop the ball. Chip and 2 puts (7)
4. Tee off went straight into the water. Second shot ended up in the water as well. Third shot went straight to the green. Chip and 2 puts (8)
5. Tee off on right into the rough. Out of the rough with a 9 iron. Third shot on the apron (about 150 mt). Chip and 2 puts (6)
6. Tee off too much length, into the rough. Played a provisional ball, just in case. Found my first ball and played along. Second shot on green, 2 puts (4)
7. Short par3 over water. First shot into bunker. Second shot on 10 cm off the hole. 1 put (3)
8. Tee off went 100 meter into the air, with not much length. Second shot on the green. Long put, needed 2 strokes (4) 
9. Tee off was good, second shot ended up in the rough. Missed the third shot with my 7 iron and took the rescue for the fourth shot. Long ball into the rough nextto the green. Great chip and 1 put (7).

White

1. Small lane, first shot in the rough, second shot on the green. Third shot right from the green, great chip and lousy puts. Needed 3 puts (7).
2. Tee off about 230 mt. Chip and 2 puts (4)
3. Short par3. First shot on green and 2 puts (3)
4. First shot in the rough, second shot with rescue on the apron. Chip and 2 puts (5)
5. Tee off was great as well as the second shot. Third shot ended up the green, birdie change. Needed 3 puts (6)
6. Tee off ended next to a swan couple. I used a free drop. Chip was way too short and needed 3 puts (5)
7. Tee off in heavy rough. Chip out of rough ended up in the rough again. Third shot on apron. Chip and 2 puts (6)
8. Tee off in the rough. Out of the rough with my rescue ended up in the left rough before the green. Chip and 2 puts (5)
9. Tee off in the rough. Second shot over the water over the green. Chip to short and needed 2 puts (5).

Results

33  at pl. hcp 20,  and 29 at 3/4 hcp. I played in my buffer so this game has no effect on my handicap.

Lessons learned

• Tee off; I need to straighten my tee off with my wood3. If I learn to push the tee off over the fairway it will improve my game with 4-5 points;
• Puts; Out of the 18 holes, about 16 were to short. From the 16 about 10 way too short. I need to practice my puts more often;
• Don’t use my rescue on a short par 3.
