There are many decisions to be taken in once lifetime. And because life is short, we tend to take the easy decision. One decision has lesser consequences than the other, but at the end, any decision has impact.

Today I received an email from my teammate from football. The question was whether I would like to continue for the next season. This is a question I asked myself the last two years, and I think I can finally say to myself that I quite football. The main reason is that I don’t play a lot and I do have other hobbies which also cost a lot of time. I love the game, the smell of grass and mostly the team. But it doesn’t give me the satisfaction I want. Next weekend we go to Bubikon to play a Swiss team from a former team member who moved to Switzerland. It will be a great weekend, I promise you that, but it will also be the last game for me.

Next year I want to concentrate on Golf (and tennis). Last week I attended a match organized by the ANWB. I ended up 12th overall and 8th in my own category, which I thought was a very good result. But I would like to perfection my game and I can only do that when taken my time for it. And that is exactly what I will do. I know I can do a lot better, but in order to learn, my head must be clear (this is a frequently heard motto the last few months at work). I participate in the ANWB Cyprus Tour and ANWB Surprise Tour. I have to attend a minimum of four matches (per Tour) in order to compete in the competition. Later on I will write an extensive blog on my experiences during my 10-years on the football field. But for now, it’s ok… let’s party in Switzerland…
